The Byline Block allows you to choose whether to display Author information on the post or not. This includes:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Twitter Handle
- Date post was created
To use this on your post, you need to click on Appearance and select the toggle for ‘Display Author Information’:
This will automatically populate your post with the Byline for you, in this example, it appears as follows:
If you don’t want your CMS username to be displayed in the Byline, you will need to add a First & Last Name in the dashboard under the user settings and ensure you change the ‘Display name publicly as’ dropdown:
Note if you set your publicly displayed name at the network Admin level, you also need to set your preferred name in each site on the network.
