This archive pages has the ability to add a timeline slider to the top of the page, this is done dynamically by associating content with a Content Type.
The Content type taxonomy filtering UI is removed from this template, so only 3 options for filtering are shown not the 4 that is available on the blog index.
The post is then shown at the top of the Content Type Archive page.
