You may want to reference a Twitter post in your content.
Can I use images from people’s social media accounts?
You shouldn’t republish an image from another social media account, without having taken the following steps:
- You must ask permission from the image creator / owner.
- Or have evidence that you have made every effort to locate the image creator / owner.
- Be conscious the person who posted it may not have permission to use, or allow use by others. You can use a screenshot / embed the whole post.
Instead of republishing an image from a social media post, embedding the whole post is a safer way to reference the content. Showing the original context in which it was posted and by whom.
To embed a Twitter / X post
- Insert a Twitter block.
- Copy the url to the Tweet.
- Paste url into the Twitter block and click embed.
